Our high-performance laser cutting systems feature dual axis cutting heads that guide the focused beam of light with high precision. This allows us to shape detailed features with an exceptional degree of accuracy and repeatability.
We have the capacity to laser cut sheet material measuring from 0.003" to 0.75" in thickness. Maximum part size is 28.0" in length x 39.0" in width. Programming flexibility combined with narrow kerf widths enable us to nest parts and maximize material yield, while computer controlled cutting paths allow us to uphold tolerances as close as ±0.002". By regulating the spot size, power, and feed rates, we can make very detailed cuts to create complex features, sharp corners, and smooth contours with excellent edge quality.
Our core strength is laser cutting electrical insulation and barrier materials such as ITW Formex®, ITW Statex®, and Nomex® as well as Fishpaper and vulcanized fiber. We also have robust capabilities for laser cutting a broad range of polymers, including specialized materials like Nylatron®, Glastic®, Delrin®, and many others. - Flying Optics - Flying optics lasers feature a stationary table and a cutting head (with a laser beam) that moves over the work piece in both of the horizontal dimensions. Flying-optics cutters keep the work piece stationary during processing and often don't require material clamping.
Hybrid - Hybrid lasers provide a table which moves in one axis (usually the X-axis) and moves the head along the shorter (Y) axis. This results in a more constant beam delivery path length than a flying optic machine and may permit a simpler beam delivery system.
Moving Material - Moving material lasers have a stationary cutting head and move the material under it.
