Die Cutting for Industry & Manufacturing

At ESPE Manufacturing Co. Inc., we are a leading supplier of fabricated plastic parts for a wide selection of industries. With the flexibility of our operations, we can process small orders or large volumes accurately and in a timely manner. Our staff is extremely knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have about materials or part design.

Advantages of Die Cutting for Manufacturing with ESPE

When producing high-quality electrical-insulating parts, rubber goods, and labels, die cutting is often the most economical option. With low initial tooling charges and fast paced, high-accuracy output, die cutting is a highly efficient manufacturing process. ESPE provides custom die cutting services for a wide range of applications in numerous verticals, including the aerospace, military, medical, automotive, and electronics industries.

We work with many electronic file formats to ensure high levels of precision in our cutting tools. We can cut almost any shape with a high degree of part-to-part consistency. We also die cut a diverse range of other plastic and non-metal materials measuring from 0.003" to .062" in thickness for many applications.

Our extensive inventory of non-metallic materials allows us to commence work on your project immediately, significantly cutting down on lead times and overall production costs. ESPE’s supplemental fabrication services – such as CNC turning and milling, laminating, engraving, embossing, drilling, and assembly – offer our customers a one-stop manufacturing solution that eliminates the costs associated with third-party fabricators.

Die Cutting Methods

Our state-of-the-art, 60-ton hydraulic flatbed, punch, and steel rule die cutting presses can meet any production volume requirement without compromising on accuracy and quality.

For general cutting with low or medium-volume orders, we utilize our flatbed die cutting equipment fitted with steel rule dies, operated by a hydraulic press. This method allows us to quickly remove holes and webs with efficient changeover times, while maintaining customer specified tolerances.

For higher volume runs, we employ the use of our punch press, which is equipped with a machined die for cutting. Our punch presses are also typically used for components requiring tighter tolerances and have the added benefit of performing auxiliary functions such as bending, blanking, embossing, and coining.
